On February 21, 2012, I wrote a blog post announcing I was leaving National Community Church. I left July 1 and thought that surely, by the fall, we would already be somewhere else and all would be well. When February rolled back around again… I was more than a little discouraged. It’s been an interesting year and a half, one which I’m sure I’ll process on here sooner than later, but I did want to let everyone know that this stage is finally coming to a close.
Starting November 4, I will be the Associate Pastor of Lakeside Community Church in Algoma, Wisconsin. I’m very excited to start serving that church. It’s in a great area, right on Lake Michigan. I’ll be taking a sizable chunk of the preaching load from Chris Jarrell, the lead pastor1, as well as working with leaders and volunteers. Also, sometime next spring, we’ll be launching the first multi-site campus for Lakeside in Sturgeon Bay, a super cool town that is also just beautiful.
Adrienne and I very excited and now are beginning the hard work of preparing the house to sell and getting everything packed up and ready to move. There is a LOT to do and not a lot of time to do it. Can’t quite relax yet…
